About CMP.LY

Compliance can be confusing. We’re here to make it easy.

In October 2009, CMP.LY set out to simplify required disclosures in social media by creating a simple tool for bloggers and other digital influencers to help them comply with the updated FTC guidelines for testimonials and endorsements in social media. We have since expanded our scope and have become the first commercial solution to address the additional requirements placed on advertisers and challenges faced by regulated industries. We now offer a comprehensive product line that addresses compliance requirements for SEC, FINRA, FDA, as well as other regulatory needs at scale. CMP.LY enables companies to create, document, measure and monitor disclosures and other “fine print” in social marketing and communication efforts.

Our patent-pending framework, based on easily identifiable icons and URLs, provides a universally recognizable convention that communicates required disclosures across platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, blogs, and other digital media channels. We support this framework with automated reporting, documentation, and unique measurement capabilities. In the rapidly evolving world of digital compliance, our system is quickly becoming the recognized standard for social marketing disclosures. That said, we’re still growing — CMP.LY solutions include disclosures for highly regulated industries such as Financial Services and Healthcare, as well as products for promotions, influencer marketing, affiliate marketing, corporate communication initiatives, and a broad range of other use cases.

Current CMP.LY Products and Codes can be combined to address disclosure and compliance requirements across a number of industries and a broad range of applications, including:

  • Social Media Marketing Campaigns
  • Social Media Contests, Promotions, Sweepstakes and Special Offers
  • Affiliate and Franchisee Marketing
  • Commissions and Rewards Programs
  • Employee and Agent Social Media Management
